You will need to select one Workshop Round 1 or Den Talk [for Day 1], one Deep Dive session [for Day 2], and one Workshop Round 2 or Den Talk [for Day 3]. These sessions have capacity limits and will fill up.

This workshop provides educators and systems leaders with the opportunity to explore the Deeper Learning Competencies and High Quality Performance Assessments (HQPA) through the lens of neurodivergent students. Participants will learn how to center neurodivergent students in the design of high quality culminating performance assessments.As educators, we must learn how to design assessments that allow our most vulnerable learners the opportunity to show what they know and can do. When we intentionally design structures and systems for those learners who are most vulnerable, everybody benefits.

Participants will explore the different features of High Quality Performance Assessments (HQPA) and redesign a performance assessment task that provides evidence of learning/thinking with a focus on HQPA #3: being open to different learner approaches. The series concludes with participants reflecting on the changes needed to ensure that ALL students thrive in their performance assessment system.
